Statement Sweaters

So you’re tryna be cute but also tryna be cozy. Enter: the statement sweater.

I don’t know about you, but when I think of sweaters I think of chunky, oversize, sometimes unflattering, boxy, fuzzy pieces. Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE A GOOD SWEATER - at the right time. But what is a girl to do when it is super chilly outside but she also wants to look like a snack? (Yes, I said that. I need to listen to less Cardi B, obviously.) But, that is exactly where a funky, fun sweater can come into play! The exact details for my outfit are below :)

How to Wear It

The fun thing about wearing something that stands out is that you don’t have to do much else. I wanted the sweater to be the center of my outfit so I went with a black tank, black jeans with a stripe detail and a headband. I think it works well! This sweater would also be cute with a dark color graphic tee and distressed light wash jeans or an animal print top with dark jeans for a more dressy look. Oh, or even one of those satin camis and black jeans. YAAASSS I can see that being so cute! You can do more with this thank you think! Lots of the sweaters I linked would be perfect with jeans and boots and over a tee or tank. Really, you can’t go wrong!

Where to Wear It

  1. Date night

  2. Dinner with the girls

  3. To a football game

  4. Drinks with friends

  5. Going downtown

  6. To a concert

Next time you think about reaching for the frumpy grandma sweater (I am guilty, too!) think about one of these items and a way you can be comfy and cozy, but still feel cute and confident! Happy fall y’all!
