For exactly 24 years I have told myself that I am “too short” and “too curvy” for a jumpsuit. Last week I saw one in a window at the mall that I liked so I said “why not” and into the store I went. I tried on several (some fit very poorly and reaffirmed the idea that I can't wear jumpsuits) but this one was by far my favorite and I was shocked at how flattering and comfortable it was. So maybe you think the same thing. That you “can’t wear jumpsuits”, but I would challenge you to try harder to find one that fits your body type, because when you do, you’ll never want to take it off! My exact outfit is linked below and if you want more options, scroll through some of my other favorites!
I love that the jumpsuit I am wearing has adjustable straps! It made it much more comfortable and supportive. The back is very low, so be sure you have a game plan for your bra situation before you purchase. I am the President of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, so I just went without. The waist is pretty fitted, but has some stretch to it. I am 5’2 and with 3-inch heels the bottom of the pants brushed the floor. It fit perfectly! I got a small, for reference!
The sequin blazer was an impulse buy, but I regret nothing. I love how fun and out there it is. Caution: your hair will get stuck in the sequins. I would wear an up-do for a night out in this blazer.
My bag is a new Marc Jacobs style and, as such, is a splurge item. It has two zipper pockets and fits my phone, keys, small card holder and my mini camera in it. The strap is detachable so you can carry it as a clutch or as a crossbody bag. The strap is really edgy and cool. It look like a guitar strap! You can see the deets on it in the link below.
I love that you can style a black jumpsuit any way you please. Blazers, fur coats, unique accessories, colorful shoes, the list could go on and on. You have the chance to totally make it your own. So I suggest finding a go-to black jumpsuit that you love because I can promise you’ll pull it out time and time again!
